FROLIC is Farm On’s pilot early-years program—a land-based, play-first experience for children. It’s a space where little ones can run free, dig in the dirt, taste food fresh from the vine, and grow a relationship with the land that feeds them.
Why FROLIC?
Children are natural farmers, curious scientists, and joyful stewards of the land. FROLIC exists to nurture that instinct—to let kids explore, ask questions, and connect with food in a way that’s playful, embodied, and real.
What Makes FROLIC Unique:
Rooted in food sovereignty, reconciliation, and ecological inclusion, FROLIC offers an alternative to traditional early learning. One that’s less about desks and more about dirt.
Free range, and free of charge
This program is open to all, regardless of income or background.
Nature as a classroom
Every session happens outdoors, on the land, with the seasons as our guide.
Food connection
Children experience firsthand where food comes from, and how to care for the systems that grow it.
Inspired by children
Programming is flexible, emergent, and responsive to kids’ needs and interests.

The FROLIC pilot launches August 2025 at Farm On.
